Fred Griffith was born in August 1871 to David Griffith and Jennie Furman in Concord, Erie, New York. In 1875, Fred lived with his parents and half-siblings (Flora, Alice and Mary) and younger sister, Nina, in Concord, where he father was a farmer. [1]
In 1880, Fred resided with his parents, and his half-sister, Mary Baker, from his mother's first marriage; and half-sister, Alice Griffith, from his father's first marriage; and younger siblings, Nina, James, Hattie and Robert. His father was a farmer. [2]
In 1900, Fred lived with his mother and younger brothers, Roy and Benjamin, in Lyndon, Cattaraugus, New York. He worked as a farm laborer. [3]
Fred lived in Norwich, Missaukee, Michigan in 1910. He was a widowed farmer. His wife's name is unknown. [4]
In 1920, Fred was a laborer for the Corvallis Logging Camp in Oregon. He resided in Bellfountain, Benton, Oregon. He was a widower. He lived in Oregon for many years. [5]
Fred owned a stock farm in 1930 in Summit, Benton, Oregon.

In 1940, Fred, age 69 and widowed, resided in Humphrey Center, Cattaraugus, New York. He lived near his brother, Roy. [7] He lived in Great Valley, Cattaraugus, New York in 1950. [8]
Fred died at the age of 81 on May 30, 1952 in Collins, Erie, New York. [9] He is believed to have been buried in Gowanda State Hospital Cemetery in Collins. [10]
