A sudden and very sad death occurred at Little River, near Baldry on Tuesday evening last, the victim being Lucy Annie Neda Cole, aged 16 years and 8 months, daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Richard Cole. During the day the unfortunate girl appeared to be in the best of health, but later was seized with convulsions, and died before medical aid could be obtained. On Wednesday the Coroner (Mr. Kinna) held an inquest, when Dr. Daly, of Cumnock, gave evidence that he had made a post mortem examination of the body, and that death was due to cerebral hemorrhage, and a verdict to that effect was recorded.
