Biography
George was born on 21 February 1841 in Prince George's, Maryland, USA. He was the son of Thomas Grimes and Elizabeth Cadle.[1]
George was baptized on 15 August 1841 in Saint Johns Parish (Episcopal), Prince George's County, Maryland, the son of "Thos. Grimes and Elizabeth."[1]
George married Catherine Baden on 25 February 1864 in Prince George's County, Maryland.[2] The couple had 3 children: Rosie E Grimes, George Edwin Grimes and Amelia Clara Grimes.
George died in 1871 and was buried in the cemetery at St. Barnabas Church in Temple Hills, Prince George's County, Maryland.[3] George shared a tombstone with his wife, Katherine, and her second husband, James T. Grimes, who was also his (George's) cousin.
