Research Notes
Birthdate: Henry's exact birthdate is unknown. Page 35 of Frank Montgomery's History of the Descendants and Connections of William Montgomery and James Somerville...[2] lists Felix Grimes's sons in age order, and Henry is listed between Arthur (b. 1774) and John (b. abt. 1782). Felix's oldest daughter, Sally, was born in 1780. Most of the family's children are born about every 2 or 3 years, so it seems most likely that Henry would have been born between Arthur and Sally, in about 1777.
