Biography

Nicholas Grindstaff was born about 1766. He was the son of Nicholas Grindstaff and Mary Smith. He passed away about 1853. [1] [2] [3]

Johannes Vantrease deeded 187 acres of land to his son Jacob Vantrease and an equal amount to Isaac Grindstaff in 1809. The land was located on the head waters of the Hic Creek, Wilson County, Tennessee. Isaac Grindstaff's will was proved in Wilson County, Tennessee in December 1840. [4]
