pg 12: "William Grinstead was born in VA in 1761. He died in Goochland County, VA 8-13-1843. He, too, was a Soldier of the Revolution. He married Dorothea Lacy 9-1-1798. They made their home in Virginia."

"William was in Revolutionary War Pension Claim #S 15867. He lived most of his life in Henrico Co., VA about 2 years in Hanover County and about 1795 or 96 he moved to Goochland County where he remained the rest of his life (data from pension record). He signed his pension claim with an X "his mark."
