Birth: Lydia Griswold was born April 25, 1743, the daughter of Cpt. George Griswold and Zerviah Griswold of Windsor, Connecticut. ^[1][2]Marriage: She married Noah Phelps on June 10, 1761 in Simsbury, Connecticut.^[1][3] Death and Burial: Lydia died on September 17, 1821^[4] and is buried at the Simsbury Cemetery, Simsbury, Hartford County, Connecticut, USA.^[5]

Research Note

FindAGrave incorrectly identifies Lydia Griswold's father as Edward Griswold. George Griswold's Will specifically names as a legatee his daughter "Lydia the wife of Colonel Noah Phelps of Simsbury" .^[2]
