James, born about 1809 in Massachusetts, owned a farm near Newport, Herkimer, New York. In 1850, he was married to Mary Bullard. They had six children: Louisa, William, Charles, George, Mary and John Bullard.[1] In 1860 their son William and his family lived with them.[2]
He died in 1888 and was buried at North Gage Cemetery, Deerfield, New York.[3]
