Children: Dirk (Dec 17 1780), Pieter (1782), Marij (July 15 1784), Teetje (Jan 11 1790), all born in Andijk.
Jan was a “bouwman” (a builder). I think his son Pieter joined him and took over the family business – both were listed in Pieter’s marriage record as being a bouwman. In his death record he's listed as a landbouwer. [1]
Jan Meindertsz Groen is listed by himself in the Buurtjeskerk membership record of 1795. Jan Groen and Trijntje Veerman are listed together on the 1817 and 1820 lists. Several children and grandchildren appear close to their names, indicating many family members probably lived close together. The 1823 list was sorted according to last name - I counted 19 people with the last name of Groen in it.
