Thomas was born in 1713. He is the son of Thomas Guerin and Mary Ford.

Thomas was born about 1713. He came to America as a young man. Tradition says he could trace his ancestry to DeGuerin, Count of Auvern and Duke of Aqurtaine during the reign during the reign of Emperor Charlemagne of France.
Thomas is listed in the 1778-1790 Revolutionary Census in Morristown N.J. In 1752 Thomas appears on the list for Freeholders. A Freeholder is a man not bonded to work or indentured with the power to vote.
Washington used to quarter his troops during the winter of 1779-1780. Washington wrote him a letter thanking him. In 1780 an inventory of sundry articles was taken from Thomas by the Continental Army: "two claves valued at one pound sixteen shillings" (Mach) and in August "four sheep valued at two pounds and corn stalks equal to seven hundredweight of hay, valued one pound one shilling, a total of four pounds seventeen shillings
He passed away in 1790 at the age of 77. His wife, Jane died July 14, 1795, at age 85. They had 10 children.
