Claude Joseph Guimond was born on January 23, 1715 in Cap-Saint-Ignace to François Guimond and Élisabeth Fortin. He was baptized the same day. His godparents were Claude Guimond and Genevieve Fortin[1].
Claude died on March 24, 1799 in Cap-Saint-Ignace at the age of eighty-four. He was buried the next day[3].
