Biography

Maria Elizabeth Gurley, daughter of Nahum Gurley of Sand Bank, Oswego County, New York, married Rueben Knapp of Albion, New York, afterwards of Rome, Michigan, May 12, 1850. She was the twin sister of Nahum Gurley (2). She was the mother of 2 children: Cyrenus Gurley (born January 6, 1852) and Reuben (born February 22, 1854).
