In trying to resolve the 2 Elizabeth wives of Barton Warren Stone (Russell-4255, Campbell-1775) I believe that, as her bio states, she was the daughter of William and Tabitha Russell Campbell and not the daughter of Washington Russell and Tabitha Adams Russell but was their granddaughter. Can you help sort this all out? Thanks

I am willing to try to straighten it out but I will certainly need your help if you are willing. I may have to wait until tomorrow or the next day to really focus on what needs to happen to get it fixed. Are you in? Corinne

Thanks so much for merging the Warren Barton Stones. After the merge, he ended with 3 wives, Eliza Campbell (correct) and Celia Bowen (correct) but also another Eliza Campbell Formerly Russell Stone (NOT Correct) It looks like this persons tree is a mixture of her maternal grandparents as her paternal parents or some combination. It also looks like Celia Bowen and she were cousins and also have the same grandparents. I am hesitant to dive in making corrections when my main knowledge is the Stone line. What are your thoughts on how to proceed? Thanks, Corinne

Saw your question. Make sure you don't have any random punctuation in the month day year. If you enter 5/1/2014 there usually isn't a problem. If you enter May 1 2014 watch out for punctuation.

I'm not entirely sure what the problem might be! I'd suggest posting your question in our G2G Forum and you might get a better answer!

Yep! That's what we encourage when people want to cut back on profile management. You can remain on the trusted list but remove yourself as the profile manager. You can do this through the "Privacy" tab at the top of a profile. If you scroll down about half way there is a section for adding and remove managers.

This is going to be a merge. The easiest way to do this is to scroll down to the bottom of one of the profiles, on the left is a PENDING MERGE, and then a link in green to Initiate a Merge. Select that. It will come up with two boxes, and one should already be filled in with the Name-ID Number. Just fill in the second box with the NAME-ID NUMBER and compare, normally, then merge. Once the merge goes through (and since you are the manager on both) there is a comparison screen with 3 columns. Choose the best most accurate so it shows up in the 3rd right column. At the bottom, merge. When that is done look at the BIO section. Everything is copied into that so you will need to delete duplicate info/fields. Let me know how it goes!  :) Nae

I just checked your Guthrie-120 and he isn't done yet. I am wondering if it is perhaps because he doesn't have any dates on his profile? And a date IS required on all new profiles now (at least one, even if it is estimated which should be noted that it IS an estimate). Let me know how it goes.  :)
