note - all records of name that I've encountered have Gwatkin (no "s"). A DAR application record for patriot ancestor #A089995, Valentine Peyton (her husband), shows her as Margaret "Genatkin."

pp 31-32: December 1774, members of Committee of Safety included Henry Peyton,... John Peyton, James Gwatkin...

The book also had several references to Valentine Peyton, but I couldn't tell which Valentine they meant (there are several in the same time/place - including one who's my ancestor but who I don't think has a WikiTree profile):

p 33: In June, 1776, pay was issued to Yelverton Peyton for sundry minute-men of Prince William. Francis Peyton and James Muchett received certain sums of money for arms furnished the Loudoun County militia.

p 29: Valentine Peyton served in House of Burgesses (couldn't tell year, anywhere from 1718 to 1756 to Revo. War)

pp 26-27: Adjacent to the present town of Occoquan and southward, along Hooe's Creek, Morumsco Creek and branches of the Neabsco, grants were recorded in the names of... Thomas Gregg...Valentine Peyton. (1712? unclear when)

pp 78: 1736 - another warehouse was authorized "on the lower side of Occoquan, on the land of Valentine Peyton, ...
