I have the records in Indiana that tell of the father of Maria,Valentin, went to another town and filed the birth record. It does not show who the father was. I think that may have been the reason they came to the USA. They came to be with a brother of Elizabetha,wife of Valentins brother. His name is Becker and he was a preacher. Will give you those records when I return to Indiana.

The children are: Mary, Jacob and Anna who all died in May of 1888 of measles.
