Biography

Sally was the second child to be named Sarah, and called Sally. Her oldest half-sister of that name died about 1808, before this second Sally was born. She was also the only child of William's last wife and that wife's name was Sarah.

She was orphaned at an early age - her father died in late 1819, her mother about three years later. The Logan Co records document guardians for her.

She married first, on 27 Feb 1826, Dr. Churchill Haden Blakey, who was also her second cousin. But that same September, in 1826, he died. She married again, 10 Dec 1829, to Wilkins Watson.
