Biography

James Hadley was born on July 27, 1846, the son of Samuel L. HADLEY b: 30 JAN 1820 in Wilmington,Clinton Co,Ohio d 8 May 1897 Near Clarksville, Ohio, and Mother: Mary Jane HARVEY b: 17 JAN 1825 in ,Clinton,Ohio D: 22 Juyl,1885

James was a farmer. He received fifty acres of land from his father about two miles west of Sligo on the Lebanon Free turnpike Road, and by subsequent purchases acquired a farm of 89 acres. The home of James and Isabelle, built in 1871, was occupied in 1957 by their daughters, Ruth and Bertha, and was the headquarters for all family gatherings at that time.

James helped build the Friends Church in Wilmington Ohio.

He Married Isabelle Moore on 9 Sep 1869, and Passed Away April 25, 1017
