Biography

He was born on 20 Dec 1768 [1] in Chatham County, North Carolina to Ruth (Lindley) and Joshua Hadley.

William HADLEY married on 13 10M 1791 [1] in Cane Creek Monthly Meeting in Orange County, North Carolina to Sarah CLARK (b: 13 Jan 1769).

About 1807 he moved his family from North Carolina to Ohio where he founded the town of Clarksville in Clinton County.

While on the way to a Quaker meeting with traveling minister Maud Hodge, William died in his carriage on 05 Dec 1842 [1] and was buried at Springfield Meeting in Clinton County, Ohio.
