HANNAH J. HAGGARD was born in Maury Co., Tennessee on Aug. 30, 1817, the daughter of Edmund Haggard and Elizabeth 'Andrews' Haggard. She was married twice. First to Isaac McLain, on June 3, 1834 in Morgan County, Illinois. They had 3 children: Mary E., Nancy J., and Martha L. McClain. Hannah's second marriage was to Isaiah Atteberry, on April 3, 1845, in Morgan County, Illinois. They had 3 children: Zerrildia Narciss, Armintie, and Edmon/Edmund Marion Atteberry. (Both marriage records are on file at the Morgan County courthouse). Hannah died on Sept. 18, 1898 in Tecumseh, NE, while living with her son Edmon/Edmund.
Note: The reverse side of this marker is Hannah and Isaiah's son and daughter-in-law, Edmon and Juliet Atterberry.
