Josiah was born about 1843 in Alabama to David Haggard and Mary Collier.[1]
In 1850 he was living in Lookout Mountain, Walker County, Georgia with his parents and five siblings.[2]
By 1860 he was orphaned and living in Pond Spring, Walker County, Georgia in the household of William Cuss.[3]
Family
He married Sarah Talitha Bowers sometime in the mid 1860's, probably in Walker County, Georgia.
In 1870 they were living in Walker County, Georgia with two of their children.[4]
In 1880 they were living in Lookout Mountain, Walker County, Georgia with seven of their children.[5]
He married Margaret Caroline Spencer-Street on February 4th 1909 in Logan County, Arkansas.[6]
In 1910 he was living in Mont Sandels Township, Sebastian County, Arkansas with his daughter, son-in-law, and five grandchildren.[7]
Death & Legacy
He passed away on July 29th 1916 in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.[8] He is buried in Steep Hill Cemetery in Sebastian County, Arkansas.[9]
