1814- Alfred L. Haggard, Private Chiles Battalion Mounted Gunmen, East Tennessee Volunteers, Captain Charles Conway's Company under Major John Chiles, was mustered into service 20 September 1814, discharged at Knoxville, TN, 1 May 1815. He received $148.80 for his horse and $8 a month for himself. He served seven months and twelve days. Age: 19 (1814 19=birth 1795), Height: 5 feet 9 inches, Complexion: dark, Hair: black, Eyes: Grey. Regiment taken from Roane County.
