Andrew enlisted in the Union Army, 9/1/1864. Fredericktown, Missouri. Company I, 47th Missouri Volunteer Infantry. He was 21 years old at the time, six feet, blue eyes, dark hair, light complexion. He mustered out 3/29/1865 at Benton Barracks, St. Louis, Missouri.
