Funeral services for Mrs. Herman Brass, aged 71, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Depping, town Rhine, early Tuesday morning, will be conducted at the residence in the town of Herman and at St. John's Evangelical church in Schwartzwald. The Rev. William Schultz will officiate and burial will be made in the family lot. Mrs. Brass had been ill since last fall.
The former Minnie Hahn, who was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hahn, was born in the town of Meeme on May 8, 1871. On April 20, 1892, she was married to Herman Brass in a ceremony performed by the Rev. A J. H. Bierbaum in St. John's Evangelical church. Since that time Mrs. Brass resided in the town of Herman, where last year she and her husband were privileged to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. Throughout her lifetime Mrs. Brass was a member of St. John's Evangelical church of Schwartzwald and she was a faithful member of the Ladies' Aid society there. [1]
