"16. George HAINS, son of Robert HAINS and Amy, was born on 21 Jun 1801 in Burtts Corner, York Co., New Brunswick, died on 6 Oct 1859, and was buried in Scotch Settlement Cemetery, York Co., New Brunswick.

George married Ann KIERSTEAD on 10 Dec 1820. Ann was born on 11 May 1803 in Kings Co., New Brunswick, died on 14 Aug 1874, and was buried in Scotch Settlement Cemetery, York Co., New Brunswick.

Children from this marriage were:

i. Elizabeth Ann HAINES (born on 13 Feb 1822 - died on 5 Jul 1899, buried in Scotch Settlement Cemetery, York Co., New Brunswick)

ii. Sarah HAINES (born on 27 Apr 1824 - died on 1 Mar 1909, buried in Scotch Settlement Cemetery, York Co., New Brunswick)

By me Elias Scovil Rector of Kingston This marriage was solemnized between us George Hanes Ann Kierstead in presence of James Spincer and William Scribner

Notes

A boy named Charles Miles HAINES s/o George HAINES of Douglas parish (York Co.) strayed away from home Thursday 7th inst. and has not since been heard of. The neighbours for miles around to the number of 300 men turned out and made diligent search for the missing one, but up to yesterday no trace of him has been discovered.
