Anne Beatrice was born to Claude & Stella Haire.[1]
Anne Beatrice (Haire) Harvey Lawson, "Momma, Mother, Mama Bea", 85, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, peacefully at home.
Born June 24, 1922, in Rock Hill, SC, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Stella (Knight) Haire of Rock Hill.
She was the owner and operator of Pacolet Beauty Salon, active in the Spartanburg Shrine Club Women's group, and an artist in her own right as she enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, and painting keepsakes for her family and her home. She also loved gardening and canning with her late husband, Paul, and sister, Frances. She was a member of Pacolet United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Lawson was predeceased by her husband of 25 years, Paul E. Lawson, and her first husband, Cleveland L. J. Harvey. She was also predeceased by brothers and sisters, Glenmore Haire, Paul Haire, Carol Haire, Dot Byars Arthur, Modena Funderburk, Maxine Haire, and Edith Haire.
She is survived by a brother, Don Haire of Rock Hill, and a sister, Frances Riddle of Pacolet. Mrs. Lawson is also survived by her children, Bud (Mary) Harvey, Dale (Becky) Harvey, Harriette Harvey, Paul (Debbie) Harvey, and Kenny Harvey, all of Pacolet.
Her loving family also includes fifteen grandchildren, Haila Harvey Scoggins, Paige Harvey Cook, Tracy Harvey Hayes, Don Harvey, Liza Owens, Graham Owens, Lindsey Harvey, Courtney Harvey Nix, L. J. Witt, Jarred Harvey, Quinton Harvey, Kalia Lee Harvey, Alexis, Katie, and Zachary Harvey; and nine great-grandchildren, Taylor Kirby, Jade Adams, Peyton Cook, Charner Adams, Katie Godfrey, Travis Godfrey, Emily Cook, Bree Hayes, and Carter Nix. Extended family members also include Jim (Teresa) Lawson, Ed (Alys) Lawson, and children Kate and Paul Lawson, II; Sam (Nancy) Stafford, III and children Ann and Adele; Ruth Ann C. Silver (deceased) and Donald Silver; Samantha (Ray) Meeks and her children Joshua, Nicole, and Justin.
Visitation was 7:00-9:00 PM Thursday, June 5, 2008, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel.
Funeral services were held 3:00 PM Friday, June 6, 2008, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel conducted by the Rev. Patricia McCain. Entombment was in Pacolet Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
