I believe this is your mother’s parents. By attaching your mother to her parents, you will be connected to the ‘global’ tree.

On her father’s profile, select Edit, on the right side, go down to ‘Children:’ and select ‘add/remove’ , select ‘ Connect an existing profile as his child’ and type in or copy and paste your mother’s profile id #. I think you select two buttons to confirm the attachment.
