Something might be off with the marriage date for Lucy/John. See Fluvanna County, Virginia. Chancery Cases. Lucy Haislip, widow vs. executor of John Haislip (http://www.lva.virginia.gov/chancery/full_case_detail.asp?CFN=065-1849-001#img) and Fluvanna County Marriage Bonds 1834-1848 (http://files.usgwarchives.net/va/fluvanna/vitals/marriages/marr7758.txt : accessed/archived 30 December 2015).

Although the transcription does have the date as 1802, there are offspring of John's born in the 1820s (Elizabeth Haislip Maddox) for instance who are being treated as stepchildren of Lucy's.... could there be two Lucy's? Or is 1802 incorrectly transcribed?

FWIW, the case also seems to show that, like Elizabeth, William H. isn't Lucy's child...
