Biography

Martha (Halbert) Grisham (1772-1810) was born in North Carolina or Caroline , Virginia in 17 MAR 1772 to William Anson Halbert (1744-1808) and Elizabeth (Hill) Halbert (1747-1836). She married John Gresham (1761-1835) or Grisham around 1790.

I do give my daughter Martha Grisham, two young Negroes, with what other property I gave her that she has in her possession.

Martha lived in South Carolina until her death 12 June 1810 in River, Saluda, South Carolina, USA.
