Thomas Hale was born around 1653 or 1654, by various accounts, to a Samuel and Mary Hale (maiden name unknown). [1]
His birth year may be 1653. From The Hollister Family of North America: "Thomas Hale was born in 1653; married Naomi Kilbourn, Oct. 30, 1679, and died Dec. 23, 1723. He was a son of Samuel Hale, one of the earliest settlers of the Connecticut Colony, being at Hartford in 1637. Samuel's wife was Mary ; he died Nov. 9, 1693. Naomi Kilbourn was a daughter of John Kilbourn and his second wife, Sarah . John Kilbourn was the only son of Thomas Kilbourn, the settler, and his wife Frances, and was born in 1625, and died in 1705."[2]
