Biography

Mary was born about 1843 in Tennessee according to the 1850 census for Jackson County, Tennessee where she appears as a seven-year-old in the household of George W. and Elizabeth Hale.[1]

By the time of the 1860 census the family had moved to Osage Township, Carroll County, Arkansas.[2] Mary E Hale is 16.

George and Elizabeth’s daughter Mary may be the 26-year-old Mary E Hale living with the Sanders family in 1870 in Jefferson County, Tennessee, but she is not easy to identify.[3]

This Mary Elizabeth Hale - 1843... could possibly be the same person. Name and birth year is the same, but not enough data to be certain...

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hale-7189 She is my great grandmother, but all I personally knew about her before research was that she is a "Hale".
