Forest Hale, son of William H. and Nannie Hale, was born in Virginia around 1892.
Forest married Parlee Richmond, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Richmond of Jackson County, Kentucky, in 1914. In 1920, they were living in Berea, Kentucky, and they had two children, Burgess and Ruby. Forest was a laborer at Berea College. By 1930, Forest had moved to Rockcastle County, Kentucky, and was farming. Parlee had died, but the family included two more daughters, Edna and Gladys, as well as his parents.
Forest was married a second time, to Yetta Gadd, daughter of William and Elizabeth (Roberts) Gadd. In 1940, they were living in Berea and Forest was again working for Berea College, this time as a gardener. Their children were David Stanford, Ruth, Lucille, and Mildred L., and Yetta's father, William Gadd, was also living with the family.

Hale-3561 and Hale-2738 appear to represent the same person because: They have the same wife, Yetta Gadd. I'm sorry I didn't know Forest's first name was Jessie when I made the duplicate profile and added those census records and biography. thanks. Martha
