To Stephen Johnson, Leominster Town Clerk.
These are to inform you that on the 20th May current, I did receive into my house in Leominster, James Digins, Lydia Digins, his wife, and these child called Sewall Digins, also Margaret Digins mother of the said James Digins a widow, and Margaret Digins his sister, who all came from Lancaster. Mr Digins supposes his legall place of sellement is in Templeton and that his mother's and sister's settlement is in Bottom/Bolton. And as I am apprehensive those circumstances are but low, I give you this notice that no blame may follow.
