Biography
Donald William Hale was born on Saturday, May 11, 1918 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio. He was the son of Glen Lewis (Saturday, November 4, 1893 - August 1970) and Florence E. McDonald Hale (?). His parents were married in 1913. Glenn Lewis Hale in 1917 was a "shiffer" for the Firestone Tire Company in Akron, Ohio. In 1920 he was an inspector for an iron casting company. In 1930 he was a service manager at Bearings Mill in Canton, OH. In 1942 he lived in Westfield, Union County, New Jersey, but was working for Timken Rolling Bearing Company, Canton, OH.
In 1940 Donald was a mechanical engineer. Paul served in the U.S. Army from Saturday, August 19, 1950 to Tuesday, April 15, 1952. He married Blanche P. Northart on Saturday, June 18, 1949 at Glenshaw, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
They began their married life in the Pittsburgh area, but moved to Ventura, Ventura County, California in the 1950's. Donald passed away there on Thursday, October 30, 1986 at the age of sixty-eight. Blanche, in 2016 at the age of ninety-two, was living in retirement in Simi Valley, Ventura County, CA.
