Annie was the daughter of Margaret Indiana Caswell Hall of Indiana who arrived to Pike County via New Orleans with Annie and her sister Mariah Hall. Indiana married John Ellzey, a widower with numerous children, together they had two more, Daniel and Mollie. Dr. Willis Fleet Simmons and Annie Hall were married in 1868. Mariah, who had married Frank (Black Frank) Fortenberry died and an early age. Her children and Annie Hall are said to have received a considerable inheritance from family in MA. ^[1]
