He married Mary Ann DAVIS on 16 February 1850 in Clark County, Indiana.^{[1], [2]}

In 1850, a newly married Joseph HALL and Mary Ann (DAVIS) HALL were living in Charlestown Township, Clark County, Indiana.^[3]

They were in the same township in 1860^[4] and in 1870.^[5]

In 1880,^[6] Joseph appears to have died and the household is headed by his widow, Mary HALL.
