Biography

Deliverance Hall was born...

Birth dates for this merged profile vary

  • 1642, 1643, 1645 in Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island
  • 1650 in Rhode Island[1]
  • 8 January 1652 in Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island
  • 1655 in Rhode Island

Thomas Durfee's second marriage was "in Portsmouth, R.I., to Deliverance (Hall) Tripp (widow of Abiel Tripp), daughter of William and Mary (___) Hall. Born in Portsmouth, R.I., where she died in February, 1721.

Marriage Discrepancy

Benjamin Durfee, youngest child of Thomas Durfee's first wife, was born in 1679 and supposedly was the youngest child of Thomas Durfee's first wife.[2] Yet the marriage date of 30 January 1678 in Portsmouth has been associated with the two of them. Other family group sheets give a more likely marriage date of 1684.

"1718, April 8. Will proved 1721, February 13. Ex. son Abiel Tripp.

Note that in some gedcoms, her date of death was given as 14 July 1712. This might be a transcription error?
