Biography

Davis was born on April 16, 1900 in Lamar, Texas to parents Robert and Ella Hall. He grew up in Texas[1][2] and then sometime before 1918 moved to Oklahoma as he registered for the draft in Choctaw County, Oklahoma.

His WWI Draft registration card states that he was of medium height and slender build with brown eyes and brown hair.[3]

Dave married Mora Mae Brunson sometime between 1918 and 1925. They had at least 2 children together; Billy Gene Hall[4] and Dorothy Ann Hall, both born in Oklahoma but first seen in Texas.[5] Dave and Mora then divorced in the 1940's.

Dave passed away on March 17, 1971 in Midland, Texas after suffering 7 days of a gastric ulcer.[6] He was laid to rest in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, Texas. His tombstone reads "our dad and papa".[7]
