Essalum Hall was born on July 26, 1826 at Prebble County, Ohio, United States. He is the son of William L. Hall and Susannah Munden. Essalum spends a few days in the Marion County, Oregon jail in November 1880. The first page is available from Ancestry. The whole two page document can be gotten from the State of Oregon Archives. He was charged with assualt with a dangerous weapon, he got a six month sentence but was pardoned in less than a month. (Peggy A Rowe-Snyder) (Photo of page one of the document will be uploaded.)

Notes

Note N336[Essalum Monroe HALL.GED] The marriage index I found this in (Illinois Marriages to 1850) shows Mahala Jane SMELSER marrying "Ephraim" HALL on November 21, 1844....this is about 4 years before the "approximate" birth date I have on Lurana. "Ephraim" and "Essalum" are one and the same...proved by the Oregon Donation Land Claim record (#231).
