Biography

Levi, son of Adam and Sarah (Sherman) Hall, was born at Marshfield, MA on October 25, 1744.

Research

Levi appears as head of household in the 1774 census of Rhode Island[1]. The age/sex distribution of the household and inferred attributions are

  • four white males over 16: Levi and unknown
  • two white males under 16: possibly son Benjamin and unknown
  • three white females over 16: Sarah and unknown
  • three white females under 16: Sarah, Abijah, and unknown

It appears there may have been additional children born before Sarah.
