Obituary Mrs. Nancy C Hendershot age 67, well known throughout Jackson County, passed away at her home above Freetown. Thrusday morning October 18 at 10 o'clock. The cause of death was cancer of the stomach. She had been in failing health ever since May, She had been confined to her bed for a long time. Mrs Hendershot was born in Kentucky March 12, 1861 and was the daughter of Mrs Mailinda Whetherman. She married Jimmy Roll and to this union was born three children, George Roll of Kurtz, Rilin Roll of Oolitic and Mrs Sarah Jane Grubb of Monroe County. She was married to Jimmy Rogers and to this union was born Marion Rogers of Monroe County. Then she was married to Elijah Hendershot, who survives her. She was a member of the Baptist church. She leave two brothers. George Hall of Heltonville, Lee Hall and one sister. The funeral services were held at the home at 11 o,clock Saturday. Burial in the Gilgal Cemetery Brownstown Banner October 1928
