Obituary

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Helen Elizabeth Hall McLaws, passed away on April 30, 2001.

Helen was born Nov. 11, 1911 in Tooele, Utah to Edwin Leroy Hall and Maggie Elizabeth Bryan. She was second of five children.

She attended schools in Tooele and lived her life in Tooele. She married William Van McLaws on August 30, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She and her husband owned and operated Tooele Metal Works for many years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was active in her community. She was a long time member of the Tooele Civic League and a member of the Tooele Lady Elks. She enjoyed camping and fishing. She

enjoyed playing bridge with many of her friends. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and a son, William Leroy McLaws; grandson, Travis Griffith; parents, brothers: Art, Bryan and Bob Hall and a sister Anne Hall Dean.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Gary) McFarland and Nancy (Monte) Griffith of Tooele, five grandchildren: William McLaws, Ronald McFarland, Chris (Jamie) McArthur, Tracy (Craig) Rydalch and Troy Griffith, five great-grand-children and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their thanks to the wonderful staff of the Tooele Valley Nursing Home for the care given to Helen.

Services will be on Thursday May 3, 2001 at 1p.m. at Tate Mortuary. Friends and family may call from 12 to 1p.m. prior to the services.

Interment Tooele City Cemetery.
