Mary Ellen Hall was born on 3 Jan 1875 in Izard County, Arkansas, United States, daughter of Rev. Finis Ewing Hall and Mary Jane (Thompson) Hall.

Mary (15) married Frank Louis Chastain (21) on 13 Nov 1890 in Izard, Arkansas^[1]. Their children were:
