(Note - I don't think it is possible that this is the same Thomas Hall as mentioned in all records below but possibly father and son considering the span of time as they were living in what appears to be the same property.) _____________________________________________________________________

23 Oct 1673 (pg 470) Daniel McCoy 189 acres in Lower Norfolk County on ye East Side of the Southern Branch of Elizabeth River beginning at a mkd red oake on the N side of Little Creeke it being the corner tree of ALEXANDER ROSTERS (Royster?) and soe running thence by the said ROSTERS line South 76 po to another mkd oake then S by W 42 po to a mkd white oake in a Swamp then S 22 po to a Black Gum in the said Swamp thence SE 40 po to a mkd Pine then E 3/4 S 105 po then ENE 50 po to a gum standing in the Path that goeth to old Butts then ENE 1/2 E 80 po to a mkd holley and from thence N 36 po to a Black Gum at the head of said Creeke then downe by the said Creeke NNW 257 po to the first mentioned tree.
