He was born at Beenup.
He was a farmer.
In 1910 he married Effie Murray at her mother's home in Adelaide. They were both age 39. Her father was Pulteney Malcolm Murray. They had a son Anderton Murray Hall b 1911.
In 1939 when his brother died he was living in Nedlands.
He lived at 28 Archdeacon St, Nedlands.
