James Jackson was born in Virginia during September of 1854. He was the son of Virgina Rakes. James passed away in Nicholas County, West Virginia on 2 Jan 1935 and was buried in the Tyree Cemetery, Summersville, West Virginia.[1][2]
1900 Census: James J. Hall, age 45 is living in the Buffalo District of Clay County, West Virginia with his wife, Sarah J., age 48,, and their 6 children: Alexander R. (18), Sarah M. (17), Alice A. (14), Louanna P. (12), Minnie M. (10), and Posie C. (8). The record cites that James was born in Virginia during September of 1854. The record further notes that James and Sarah had been married for 29 years and estimated the year of marriage as 1871.[3]
