Biography

Mary Hall was born August 23, 1668, , the daughter of John Hall and Elizabeth Green of Cambridge, Massachusetts[1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]

On June 29, 1686, she married John Bradshaw, son of Humphrey and Patience Bradshaw[7] [8] [6] [3] [9] [4] [5] The family settled in Medford, Mass, and their children included:

  1. Mary, born May 8, 1687[5], who died in 1712
  2. Elizabeth Bradshaw Muzzy (1688 - 1722)
  3. Sarah, born September 1690[5], who died in 1690
  4. Ruth, born November 29, 1692[5], who married Mr. Willis, and then Jacob Marsh in 1747[6], and who died in 1752
  5. John, born Feb 11, 1695[5], who m Mercy Tufts[6], the daughter of Peter Tufts and his second wife Dorothy (Bradstreet) Cotton on March 14, 1718[9]and who died in 1753
  6. Jonathan b December 27, 1696[10] [11] [5], referred to as Deacon Jonathan[6](whose children included a son Jonathan, born Jan 27, 1723[10] [11])
  7. Sarah, born March 19, 1699[5], who died in 1773
  8. Samuel, born August 29, 1700[5], who m Sarah Parkman[6]
  9. Suzanne born December 23, 1702[5], who married Mr. Scolly, and who died in 1744
  10. Abigail, born in 1704[5], who married Mr. Watson
  11. Hannah, born January 31, 1706, who married Mr. Greenleaf
  12. Steven, born July 25, 1707/8[10] [11] [5], whose wife was Mary[6]
  13. Simon, born October 3 1709[5], who married Mary Johnson[6]
  14. Patience, born 1711, who married Mr. Ordway

John Bradshaw died in 1945.

Mary died April 19, 1758, age 90 [5], and is buried in the Salem St. Burying Ground in Medford, along with her husband[12]. The inscription on her gravestone reads: Here lyes Buried ye Body of Mrs Mary Bradshaw widow to Mr John Bradshaw who died April ye 18, 1758. in ye 90 Year of her Age
