Harriott Hallas was born in Mirfield, Yorkshire in 1825, and baptised there on 27th Feb 1825, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Hallas [1]
In 1841 the family are living in Mirfield, Yorkshire, where Thomas, age 50, is a joiner. Mary his wife is also age 50, and with them are their children William age 20, Mary age 15, Harriot age 15, George age 13, and Sidney age 10 [2]
In 1851, the family were at Little London, Mirfield and comprised of Thomas age 62 a joiner, his wife Mary age 61 and their children Harriot age 26 and Sidney age 20 [3]
Harriott married William Henry Sheard, the son of Abraham Sheard on 23 Oct 1858 at Mirfield, Yorkshire, her father's name being given as Thomas Hallas. [4]
In 1861, William and Harriot are living at Crossley Lane, Mirfield. William is age 30 and a farmer of 31 acres, Harriot is age 35, and William's two daughters Louisa and Anne (from his previous marriage) are also at home, along with Williams nephew George Sheard, age 21. [5]
Harriott died in December 1871, in Mirfield, age 46, and was buried there on 28th December of that year, the register confirming her husband as William Henry Sheard [6]
