HALSEY WM. Saloon, under Rochelle House; res. on Locust St.; born Nov. 7, 1824, in Washington Co., Pa.; came to Rochelle 1856, and commenced farming; married Mary J. Hastings, Feb. 28, 1849; she was born in Washington Co., Pa., in 1832, and died June 7, 1851; had three children: John H., Martha J. and W. H.; married again Sept. 8, 1853; she was born in 1834, died June 12, 1866; had three children by second marriage: Sam, Mary E. and Annetta.
