Biography

Margaret Gibson was born in 1810 in Kentucky[1] to Hugh Gibson and Margaret Reed.

In 1825, Margaret married John Pope in Todd County, Kentucky.[2]

According to the 1850 census, Margaret lived with John and their children, Daniel, Hugh, John, William, Hiram, and David in Marion County, Iowa.[1]

According to the 1860 census, Margaret lived with John and their children, Hiram and David in Knoxville, Iowa.[3]

Margaret died in 1873. She is buried in the Breckenridge Cemetery in Harvey, Iowa.[4]
