MR. J. H. HAMILTON. The death occurred in Lismore on Saturday afternoon of Mr. J. H. (Harry) Hamilton, 73, a well known resident of South Lismore.
Mr. Hamilton had lived in the Lismore district for over 50 years, and for the greater part of that time at 18 Foley's Road.
He was born in the New England district, but settled at Broadwater, where he married Miss Angelina Maria Romano, who predeceased him at Lismore in 1941.
He was a very old member of the M.U.I.O.O.F.
He is survived by a son, Mr. John Hamilton, of South Lismore, and three daughters, Mrs. H. Frohmuller (Sth. Gundurimba), Mrs. I. Vidler (South Lismore), and Mrs. J. Ward (Sydney).
Mr. Hamilton was buried from Our Lady Help of Christians Roman Catholic Church, South Lismore, yesterday afternoon, after a service conducted by Rev. Father D. McGrath, who also officiated in the Lismore cemetery, where Mr. Hamilton was buried beside the remains of his wife. Pallbearers were Messrs. John Hamilton (son), H. Frohmuller and I. Vidler (sons-in-law), M. Flynn (brother-in-law), J. Long and V. A. Rogers. Wreaths were carried by Messrs. J. E. Plim and S. Clifford (M.U.I.O.O.F.), M. Geoghagen and A. Habib.
